I heard about USC Hybrid High School in downtown LA last year but didn’t have a chance to do the tour. From what I heard, the college prep program sounds pretty good, but there is no traditional campus. They are in an office building on Figueroa. The spaces for the tours fill up pretty quickly. If you’re interested in finding out more about USC Hybrid High School, go online and fill out this form.
Only three years old, USC Hybrid High School is a tuition-free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter school for 9 – 12th grades. Students are accepted regardless of background, academic record, or special education eligibility on a first-come, first-served basis, unless they have more applications than open seats, which results in a lottery, which will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 6pm.
In order to apply, you must attend an admissions session and fill out an interest form. Interest forms must be received by the school by 5:00pm on 1/29/16 to enter the lottery. Interest forms received after 5:00pm on 1/29/16 will go directly to the wait list.
