Registration Opens for Winter/Spring Institute
Are you looking for a creative outlet for your middle and high school students? You’ll want to check out the classes offered at Inner-City Arts for their Winter/Spring Institutes program. My daughter has been taking the animation class and LOVES it! It’s a year-long class for high school students. Check out what she made in the fall session here.
They offer ceramics, digital music production, stand up comedy, graphic design and more. Classes typically run two hours. You can download the Winter-Spring 2016 Schedule.
The program kicks off with a dance class for teens on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. The rest of the classes begin on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
The first opportunity to register is in-person at their Open House event at the Inner–City Arts campus January 30th from 10am to 12pm. If you can make it, go because classes fill up quick. You’ll be able to tour their award-winning campus and meet the talented artists that will teach the Winter/Spring Institutes courses. If you can’t make it to the open house, you’ll be able to download an application on their website beginning February 1st.
If your child lives or attends school in LAUSD’s East or South region, they’re automatically eligible for a scholarship.
Also, if you have a college bound senior, you’ll want to check out the FAFSA workshop Inner-City Arts is holding after the open house.
