Free Visual and Performing Arts College Fair on April 22

ballet-1566561_1920Save the date for the College & Career Fair for the Arts on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10am – 5pm at the Music Center Annex, 601 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 there will be a visual and performing arts college fair.

More than 30 colleges, universities, and organizations will be attending. Students will be able to get help with college applications and scholarship info and enjoy free lunch from 12 – 2 pm.

Students will need to RSVP for the workshops:

Applying for College: 10am
Learn about the application process and what college admissions staff are looking for.

Paying for College: 11am
Learn about the FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid), student loans, scholarships, and financial aid.

Ask Me Anything Workshops: 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Hear from professional theatre artists, ask questions, and connect one-on-one in our afternoon “Ask Me Anything” workshops.

·         1:30pm Design, Tech, & Stage Management
·         2:15pm Acting
·         3:00pm What should I major in?
·         3:45pm How do you find work as a theatre artist?

Individual College Counseling & Personal Statement Help: 1–4pm

They have limited, free 20-minute appointments with a college counselor or personal statement expert. Email StudentBody@CTGLA.org with your name, grade, school, and which appointment you’d be interested in for more information.

The Fair is completely free and is open to current high school students, parents, and teachers; workshops are students-only.
