scrippsThe Scripps Fly-In Diversity Program: October 12-13, 2014

Scripps College honors diversity as a key component of the academic, co-curricular, and residential life of the College. As outlined in our Principles of Diversity, “Scripps strives to create an environment in which acknowledging and engaging issues of race, ethnicity, religion, belief, opinion, economic class, age, gender, sexuality, and physical ableness are inextricably part of the experience of the campus community.”

Discover Scripps

Discover Scripps is an opportunity to explore firsthand what makes Scripps unique: tour our beautiful campus, sit in on intensive and intimate classroom discussions, learn about our academic and extracurricular programs, and discover all of the resources available for underrepresented students. All Discover Scripps attendees will spend the night on campus on Sunday, October 12 and participate in activities on Monday, October 13. All accommodations and meals are provided.

Transportation Assistance

Travel grants are available on a case-by-case basis for students who live more than 150 miles from campus and who need financial assistance to get to campus. If chosen, students will be flown to Scripps mid-day on Sunday, October12 and flown home early morning on Tuesday, October14.

All travel expenses will be provided by Scripps College. Please be aware, if your airline tickets are booked and you cannot attend, you may be responsible for the cost of your ticket, as tickets are nonrefundable.

Students interested in attending Discover Scripps must submit their online program application AND an unofficial high school transcript to Lyanne Dominguez via fax at (909) 607-7508 or via email at extended@scrippscollege.edu by Friday, September 5, 2014.
